Many people ask how to get visitors to their website.  They all want to know how to start the process and what to go through.  I’d like to talk about a few ways that I went about doing this.

It’s almost like a question that doesn’t have a complete answer.  I might be able to chat to you about a lot of things, but what it comes down to is where are you at with your online business.  Other people might have more assets than you.

For me if I were to start a website today, I would email my list.  I have a huge database of people that follow the work that I do online and they like reading new material from me.  Now this is just taking from my angle, you might be at a different one.

When I first started off online, I didn’t have any leads.  I had an idea for a really cool product and I began to contact other people that might be interested in the product I was selling.  So I did a joint venture and I was using someone else’s leads to build up my own.

That is what I did, but you can go about doing things differently.  You could go the SEO route and get visitors from the search engines or do some sort of pay per click to build up your list that way.

You need to look at what you currently have and work from there.  You might not have a list yet, but you feel the need to consult someone.  Then this is what you should do.  Now if you want to test your product out the best route would be is to do a pay per click ad test.  You’ll find out right away if people are drawn to your product or not.

If you go the SEO basics route, you can always start writing different articles and submitting them to different directories.  If you pick some keywords and work on them, you could dominate those words in a few weeks.  What you want to do is anchor the keyword text that you want to rank for. You could also do a link swap with business that would compliment each other.

If you’re like me, I wanted to find out how the market would take to my product so I went the pay per click route.  I was pleasantly surprised with the results.  People will either take to liking what you have or they will just ignore you, either way you will find out where you stand.  Learn how to write ad copy for the one liner ads that you have to do with your pay per click.  Those are just a few things that worked well for me in bring visitors to my website.
